Mugi System
This is the unified rate system implemented by the Territorial Transport Authority of Gipuzkoa (ATTG), so travellers can travel with just one card, the Mugi card, on the main means of transport in Gipuzkoa.
The Mugi System is based on a shared zoning and payment format that guarantees the same cost for the same trajectories travelled on different means of transport; progressive discounts per use that benefit those who most use public transport with higher discounts; free transfers with one same operator or a reduced cost between different operators, and important rewards for collectives such as youth, numerous families, disabled persons, social collectives and the retired, all with specific income levels.
Thus, this is a model to use one same ticket on all transports with the same rates, same zoning, same trip counter and same progressive discounts.
The Mugi card evolved from the first Lurraldebus card, and they can both be used on the different public transports in the system, since they offer the same services and rewards.
Discounts (trips made per month): | |
1-20 trips | 74% |
21-50 trips | 79% |
51 and more (Mugi Gaztea FREE) | 95% |
